Kirk and Christine Franklin have been serving full time with Wycliffe for over 40 years. Kirk held leadership roles with Wycliffe Australia from 1991-2007 and was the Executive Director of the Wycliffe Global Alliance from 2008-2020. He is now involved in research, publishing, training, facilitating and teaching in the general area of global missional leadership through a cooperative agreement between Wycliffe Australia and the Melbourne School of Theology, Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (UK) and the Wycliffe Global Alliance. Christine is the Bookroom Manager at the Wycliffe Australia National Centre and is involved in tutoring in English for Bible translators from Indonesia and the Pacific Islands. Kirk and Christine have three adult married children and three grandsons. The Franklins have been part of Warrandyte Community Church since 1991.
Jack and Rachel share a passion for cross-cultural ministry - valuing the beauty and diversity of languages and cultures of the people that God has created. They have both completed study in education, linguistics and theology.
Jack is currently serving with SILA's Flourishing Communities Project in Melbourne, Australia. This involves partnering with migrant community leaders to discuss how language use and cultural identity are intricately connected and can be related to issues within their communities here in Australia. He is using his linguistics knowledge to assist communities with communicating in their languages across the generations - preserving their language and identity so that they can flourish in their relationships. Rachel is keen to develop relationships and work with women and children through literacy education.
As a family including their two boys, Jack and Rachel want to continue welcoming people into their home, as a place to listen to guests and share their love and faith. They desire to see people in diaspora communities experience joy in embracing their language and culture whilst living in Australia, and ultimately, be a part of the kingdom of God. We appreciate your partnership in this ministry!
A BIT about us…
I’m married to my wife, Ruth.
We have two daughter Alicia (born Sept, 2013) and Hope (born August 2015).
Ruth is a Chartered Accountant, originally from Montagu, Tasmania. She works three days a week with small business clientele assisting them with their finances.
Scott’s journey to mission began in 2001 with a short-term mission trip overseas to East Asia – three years later, he married Ruth and they now have two daughters. Apart from God, they provide support in all areas of his life. In 2019, Scott joined OMF as part-time Communications Coordinator.
The Lord has been leading Scott since then into full-time ministry – to use his gifts in communication and video editing to share the gospel and disciple Christians from all over East Asia through digital platforms such as social media as part of the Media For Movements team. Part of his role will also involve leadership and supporting the OMF Australia communications team to inform, engage and equip Christians for mission in East Asia.

ICC have established permanent locations in China that provide full-time family-style care for orhpaned children in Changsha and Hengyang in Hunan Province. WCC supports the work of ICC and provides assistance to the ongoing work.
Lyndel Clancy who is an active member of WCC is the Australian Director for ICC.
Mukti Australia is a Christian organisation seeking to empower disadvantaged children and women in India and Sri Lanka through a range of development initiatives that demonstrate, in a practical way, the love of Jesus Christ.
Compassion is a Christian international holistic child development organisation. Through our Child Sponsorship Program, more than 2 million children are currently being released from poverty in Jesus’ name.
In 2024, Youth for Christ International saw the redemptive power of Christ work and move in the lives of hundreds of thousands of youth worldwide. Seeds planted in previous years sprouted and took root, moving us closer to the goal of reaching every youth around the world with the good news of Jesus.
